Last year haiku and six word memoirs got me through this challenge!! LOL. I really need to plan ahead better, but I’m on west coast time and 9:00 is usually the first time in my day that I have a few available minutes!
Your Haiku is apropos. I,too, am on West Coast time and find the evening usually the best time to collect my thoughts. I’m going to have to check out six word memoirs as I haven’t heard of it before and sounds like something I’ll want to try.
The 9pm West Coast deadline is super hard. My schedule is semi-flexible enough to sometimes sneak one in earlier, but usually I am work-kids-dinner-eat-bathtime-bedtime-oh my God, how is it 8:30 already?
I’ve been feeling like this the past few nights! I write a lot of poetry, too — the words just seem to come out this way. Sleep tight. 🙂

Yup. I suppose I could do tomorrow’s at 9:00 tonight…but somehow that doesn’t really happen.

I’m on the East coast, but found myself in the same boat this evening. Haiku to the rescue!

Your haiku sounds like you tinkered and wordsmithed for hours, not mere minutes. 😀
